Payroll, leave and attendance in one place.

Staff clock in and out and apply for leave from their phones. Each month Kwikri works out PAYE, NSSF, SHIF and the Housing Levy, takes off unpaid leave, emails payslips and tells you what to remit.

The statutory report shows what goes to KRA, NSSF and SHA.

Leave and attendance, without the paper register

Clock in and out from a phone

Each employee gets their own login. One tap clocks them in using the server’s time, so nobody can change it, and the location is saved when the phone allows it.

Who is in, who is late

See today’s board at a glance: at work, late, absent or on leave. Monthly timesheets with hours worked, ready to download to Excel.

Leave requests and approvals

Staff apply on their phone; HR or the owner approves with one tap and the employee gets an email. Annual, sick, maternity, paternity and unpaid leave are set up to Kenyan minimums.

Straight into payroll

Approved unpaid leave is deducted automatically, and each payslip line shows the days present. Weekends and Kenyan public holidays are never counted.

The rates Kwikri uses

Rates change. We follow the announcements from KRA, NSSF and SHA, and you can adjust deductions for your own case.

About payroll

Which deductions does Kwikri work out?

PAYE using the KRA bands with personal relief, NSSF Tier I and II, SHIF at 2.75% (minimum KES 300) and the Affordable Housing Levy at 1.5% for the employee and 1.5% for the employer. NSSF, SHIF and the levy are taken off before PAYE.

What happens when the rates change?

We update Kwikri when KRA, NSSF or SHA change the rules. You can also add your own deductions and allowances, such as a SACCO, a loan or a HELB repayment.

Can employees get their payslips by email?

Yes. Send every payslip in a run with one click. Each employee gets a private link to view and print their own payslip.

Does Kwikri file my returns?

No. Kwikri shows exactly what to remit for PAYE, NSSF, SHIF and the Housing Levy each month; you file and pay through iTax and the other portals as usual.

Can I change a figure before paying?

Yes. Every amount in a payroll run can be reviewed and edited until you mark the run as paid.

How do staff clock in?

Give each employee an Employee login. They open Kwikri on their phone and tap Clock in or Clock out. The time comes from the server, and the location is saved if they allow it. A manager can also clock people in on a shared computer.

How does leave work?

Employees apply from their phone and see their balance. HR, an Admin or the owner approves or declines, and the employee gets an email. Unpaid leave is taken off their pay in the next payroll run.
